The 2020 DeSECSys workshop

The 2020 DeSECSys workshop

took place on September 17, 2020. Using an online meeting platform, over 50 attendees participated in this event which was held within the 25th European Symposium on Research in Computer Security (ESORICS '20). The one day workshop focused on topics such as emerging security and privacy technologies, fog computing, vulnerability analysis, security in 5G networks, impact of quantum computing on cyber-security, and much more

Four papers were selected as part of the workshop:

ICITPM: Integrity validation of software in iterative Continuous Integration through the use of Trusted Platform Module (TPM) AUTHORS: Antonio Munoz, Aristeidis Farao, Jordy Ryan Casas Correia, and Christos Xenakis

CloudVaults: Integrating Trust Extensions into System Integrity Verification for Cloud-based Environments AUTHORS: Benjamin Larsen, Heini Bergsson Debes, Thanassis Giannetsos

Making Picnic feasible for Embedded Devices AUTHOR: Johannes Winkler

Sandboxing the Cyberspace for Cybersecurity Education and Learning AUTHORS: Stylianos Karagiannis, Emmanouil Magkos, Christoforos Ntantogian, Luís L. Ribeiro

Despite being a virtual event, the DeSECSys workshop was quite a success. Attendees expressed the same sentiment!
